Geography Laboratory

Department has a well equipped laboratory to meet the demand of the study of thematic Cartography, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS).

The state of art of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing laboratory is second to none in the colleges of University of Delhi. It has 13 desktops installed with windows 8 programme and have 10 licenses of latest recent version of ERDAS IMAGINE, 2013 for the analysis of satellite imageries.

The department lab is equippedwith most recent version of

• Arc GIS 10.1 version with 3 licenses
• 7 licenses of 12.2 version of Map Info.
• 2 licenses of Digital Photogrametry suit,
• 5 hand held GPS of Garmil and Trimble,
• 4 satellite imageries, 40 aerial photographs.

Moreover, the lab has also special designed tracing fitted with light system for thematic cartography for the smooth functioning of the practical.
