The members of the society visited many places in Delhi with their cameras and explored ruins of Tughlaqabad Fort, Old Fort, India Gate, Chandini Chowk, Safdarjung Tomb, etc. to give the members of society first hand practical knowledge about different dimensions of photography.
Members took part in many competitions this year including IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, Gargi, Lady Irwin, Hindu, Hansraj and many more. Sampreet Subudhi, a 2nd year MUN superstar of the society won best photographer award for Revenshaw MUN, IIT Delhi MUN, Zest MUN, and most creative photographer in Dreams MUN. Not just winning, he also was the Head of photography in DAV CSPUR MUN and photographer in chief for Indian Peace Summit and Insolito MUN Ludhiana. Mr. Ayush Jain won first prize in Hansraj and Kamla Nehru for on the spot and online photography competition respectively. He also won second prize in Studio-Vogue, fashion based photography competition of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (M).
The team organised their 2nd annual photography fest PHOTONS’16 on 5th April, 2016 which turned out to be a big success. This one day event included competitions and photography exhibition cum sale. Achieving a whole new level, they marked participation of more than 70 students from 20 different colleges whereas around 40 photographs are being sold and exhibition being praised by many.
