About the College

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College was established in July 1973 by the Administration of Delhi. It is named after one of the greatest freedom fighters and sons of the Indian soil — ‘Shaheed-E-Azam’ Bhagat Singh. The college is one of the constituent institutions of the University of Delhi, India.

The foundational idea of the college is service to the nation as a vital part of one’s life and as a guiding light for the development of society. This idea is inculcated in students every step of the way. In its initial years, the college catered to those who were employed and aspired to enhance their educational qualifications and career prospects.
