The department of commerce of our college has been striving for creating a stimulating academic environment for its students. It offers two courses of B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com of University of Delhi that are designed to enable and empower students to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities to analyse and synthesize the contemporary realities pertaining to the domain of business.

Commerce is the biggest department of the college and the strength of the department lies in its highly qualified and experienced faculty that impart knowledge in various subjects not just restricted to the syllabi but also the practical aspect of various fields relating to accounting, finance, taxation, law, stock market legal subjects, etc. Research orientation is another distinguishing feature of the faculty of our department with many of them engaged in research projects, publication of books and research papers, participation in seminars, orientation/refresher courses, faculty development programs and so on.

The department focuses on skills and practices that enable lifelong learning and independent problem-solving. Students are given hands on experience by working on various case studies, projects and presentations. Students are also motivated to go for summer internship to gain the practical insight from industry which makes their course content more meaningful. At the end of the third year many students are able to get placed in various companies that visit the college for talent hunt.
