About the Society

The Dramatics Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, Sangharsh, continues to be a vibrant platform for creative expression and social awareness. Through its impactful plays, the society addresses pressing social issues with artistic honesty and emotional depth.

Achievements

• Secured 1st Runner-up for its original production “Vritra-Vrita” at SPACE 2025.
• Won Best Set Design for “Lakir” at Thespians ’25, CVS.
• Street play “Hum Bik Chuke Hai” earned 1st Runner-up at IIT BHU, along with multiple wins across DU.
• Short play “Janeu” selected for Thespis Micro Drama, organized by NSD.

Annual Festival – Goonj

Beyond the stage, Sangharsh proudly hosts “Goonj” — its annual theatre festival celebrating creativity, consciousness, and collective expression. Bringing together dramatics societies from across Delhi University, Goonj transforms the campus into a space where art echoes truth and emotion.

Founded in 2012, Sangharsh emerged as more than a dramatics society — it became a movement of voices, dreams, and defiance within the Delhi Collegiate Theatre Circuit (DCTC). Born from passion and perseverance, its name mirrors its essence — a struggle that creates art, and art that creates change.
